Vegan Peppermint Chocolate Recipe

If you are looking for a simple, yet easy recipe to do with your children this Easter, this is it. It requires very little adult help, besides supervision at the stove of course. It is very kid fiendly It is not only easy, the results are fast, and super yummy!

They make a wonderful gift, and are cost affective. You may find you have everything you need in your pantry already.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of coconut oil

1 tbsp mushroom powder, A dash of liquorice and cinnamon powder – I just mix them into my cacao … it just gives the choccy a yummy rich flavour.

1 cup of cacao powder 

4 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

 A few drops of food grade peppermint essential oil

Method:
Mix the powders.
Melt the coconut oil on low heat, once melted set aside.
Add all other ingredients into the coconut oil, whisk.

Scoop into silicone moulds and freeze for half hour.

Keep cool and out of direct sun light.
I whipped up a tonne of these to gift today… last minute as usual. Lucky for me they are so simple!
