Beaded Easter Egg Ornaments
I had a really nice thought that today after the soup was on and the morning tea was baked we could listen to Audio stories and craft these simple beaded Easter egg Ornaments..
I found them fun! The boys apparently had endangered wild life to document in the back yard… I have no idea what wildlife we do have in our garden, but apparently it was super important. One of my wildlings at least entertained me enough to complete one egg. And for the other? he was needed in the garden.
I feel we have entered that stage of boyhood where some of mummies ideas aren’t exactly their cup of tea… and that is completely ok, I get it!
However, If YOU have a little who loves threading and beading they may enjoy this more than my dear boys. I think they will look amazing hanging on a Easter tree or even as little gift tags.
You will need:
Wooden or recycled beads
Fabric or ribbon
Jewellery wire
Plyers
Start by securing a bead at the bottom of your wire to prevent the rest of the beads from falling off. Little hands are great for the next bit! – get your little love to thread the rest of the beads on the wire. Once you feel you have enough, secure the end of the wire to the bottom first bead. Shape your Easter egg.
Add ribbon or fabric to the top to use for hanging, and to make pretty of course!
